It is a great pleasure for Team Synergy and especially to me to bring out this tri monthly eNews Letter to help connect with our all Team members and also share our knowledge and experience to all our friends and customers in MEP ( Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & ELV) Services..

Synergy was established in 1995 with only two employees and today has reached a reasonable size of 75 members with Offices in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. First of all let me thank all Architects and Developers and Industry members for their unstinted support and confidence and helped in the progress of Synergy infra. Synergy infra had got the opportunity to work on various types of Industries ie Engineering & Pharma, Hospitals, residential & Commercial/IT/ Multiplex establishments during these past 19 years. Many new concepts were introduced for Cost reduction, Quality, Reliability, Energy conservation and Life safety. Synergy always stand for Quality and Service. To improve the same, new systems such as QC check lists and Quality assurance procedures, Method statements for all MEP works are being developed

Synergy infra has now moved to new premises which is fully automated and powered with Solar energy so as to achieve Nett Zero energy facility. The solar power along with automation features makes this facility unique This Magazine will have Articles on various subjects of MEP services along with latest developments/ news from Industry, besides motivational ideas and Green tips. ABOUT SYNERGY INFRA
The facility has got complete automation (for Lighting, Power and Air Conditioning) for Energy optimization, Solar power, Rain water harvesting tank of 5KL capacity, Fire fighting tank of 25KL capacity with Booster pump, Sprinklers in all floors, Addressable Fire alarm system, Access control system, CCTV surveillance system for whole building with Recording facility, Video interaction with Visitors, Meeting room management.

The Building has got 25KW of Power from Electricity board with LT 63A CT Meter and provided with Solar of 26.4KWp. Complete power for Computers & Fans requirement will be met from Solar system without any break. There is no Backup Generator nor UPS for all 80 Computers as on today. The solar system is provided with Grid Interactive Inverter with 15 minutes back up time using SMF battery bank. The incoming EB power is conditioned with a stabilizer and surge suppressor. The quality of EB power is verified with Energy analyzer before planning power conditioner. As on today 80% of Energy is being powered by Solar. Synergy infra’s experience in energizing one 12KW Solar system at Splendid Aparna Palm Meadows, 2nos 208KW systems at Bellary ( Karnatka) & Narhar( Rajasthan) and also 1MW system at RCI-DRDO and their monitoring in getting optimum output has helped a lot in coming out with this solution

Whenever there is excess power generated by solar or on holidays, the Solar power can be exported to grid, if EB starts allowing the same, which is expected in near future. With this we would like to achieve nett Zero Energy during one year interval

Depending on the availability of Solar power, Air Conditioners will be switched ON/ Nova
temperature adjusted automatically so that we do not draw any power from EB during most of the months. Only in Summer, if the energy requirement goes high, the solar power and EB power are synchronized to meet the requirement without exceeding the EB contract demand. Multi parameter Energy meters are provided for every floor and all Utilities for Energy audit. We can proudly say that this Building consumes Lowest per capita electricity and Water.

Fresh air system is planned from roof top for all working areas. Indoor air quality is monitored using CO2 sensor and Temperature & RH using sensors.

Access control is used not only for restricting entry and attendance management but also to control Lighting/ AC system. The readers have a display to Welcome the person and also to issue any messages

Rain water harvesting and Rain water recharge pits are planned to save on water consumption. Water pumps are planed with Automatic level controllers and also solenoid valves provided for irrigation sprinklers which operate every day at regular intervals.

There are no Lighting/ Fans control switches but all are planned with Networkable Occupancy/ Lux sensors and also with Access control systems. Lights will be selectively switched on, if there is no enough lighting ( using LUX sensor), whenever someone present ( checked by Occupancy sensor), in only area of Occupancy ( using access control). Since day lighting is adequate, there will not be any artificial lighting requirement in 95% of the areas. Ceiling fans & Lights can be controlled from desk top of staff.

CCTV system is planned for whole building. Visitor Video Interaction is planned from Visitor’s room to all Directors/ Team Leaders so that visitors can have a video chat and go back and thus saves everyone’s time. The various meeting rooms will be managed with a software for blocking the room based on necessity

Once the Office is Armed after the last person leaves, the whole power to the Building is automatically switched off and thus saves even the No load losses in cables/ wires, reduces fire hazards, and also saves the inadvertent switching off of Computer monitors. This also protects systems from any untoward Switching/ Lightning surges during non – office hours. Only through a password, the Office can be Unarmed and power restored
